Killer Jargon

A smashing post up on Kings of War discussing the problems posed by incomprehensible jargon:

while [American strategic culture] lacks a coherent concept of the nature of the current war, we are left with technocratic gibberish, the Pentagon-speak of ‘capabilities organised cross-enterprise, adapting dynamically to uncertainty and turbulence in a multi-dimensional, nonlinear, competitive environment.’

It won’t save the world, or even fix this issue, but for those of you dying under the weight of absurd consultant-esque technojargon, Deloitte’s Bullfighter will at least offer you a good laugh. We could design a pretty good update for the DoD.
