Supply Risk or Price Risk?

An almost throw-away line that encapsulates an entire argument:

China doesn’t face supply threats or risks, but price risks.

  2. But the PRC does not act like it believes that right now. Will they convince the rest of the US to dig the body up from the grave of mercentalism? I don’t think so but I could be over-optimistic.

  3. Perhaps I’m overly optimistic as well, but I don’t see the US as particularly vulnerable to getting swept by a wave of neo-mercantilist agitation. We’ve got other weaknesses; I don’t think this is a major one.
