CSM offers a solid overview of the current work being done to ensure a smooth transition in Jan 2009.
Lots of people can tell you why nothing will change, and will dismiss calls like this for keeping Gates on as SECDEF as naive dreams.
But such extrapolations based on the past won’t help us see if and when a change comes.
