Getting Serious About Iran (Again)
Hersh’s latest update on DoD planning for strikes on Iran (H/T to Intel Dump):
I feel like I’ve read this same line from Hersh and other reporters at least five times over the past year. A good little exercise (that I don’t have time for right now) would be to go back and find citations for past claims that our military planning was really getting serious.“…there has been a significant increase in the tempo of attack planning…”
These repeated surges in DoD planning may be best explained as attempts to gain bargaining leverage. Or maybe it’s all real.
